Members of SGT David S. Collins VFW Post 12239 returned to Jasper City Cemetery on Church Street on Saturday, October 24, 2026, for a fall cleanup. With mowers and string trimmers, the team tended the grounds around the grave markers and along the sidewalk, leaving the cemetery in pristine condition.

The work continued the Post’s care for this historic community space following its May 2 Day of Service cleanup. Returning in the fall reflects a simple commitment: service is not just a single day, but a responsibility we keep showing up for.

Thank you to Ron, Tressa, Terrance, and Dave Petty for giving their time and effort to this project. Their work helped care for a place that holds generations of Jasper’s history and demonstrated Post 12239’s continuing commitment to Jasper and Pickens County.
